Last year (2017), Corsair introduced its first dust and spill resistant mechanical keyboard, the K68. The regular K68 keyboard is aimed to prevent damage against accidental spillage from users. The keyboard features genuine Cherry MX Red switches, but it only comes with a red LED backlight. Luckily, Corsair just added RGB lighting to the new K68 RGB keyboard.

In terms of appearance, the K68 RGB looks exactly the same as its regular variant. It is a full-sized 104-key keyboard with dedicated media keys. The keyboard is using Cherry MX Red or Blue switches, instead of only Red switches. There is also a white plastic backplate underneath the keycaps, to reflect more lights forward. To fully customize the RGB lighting, users will have to control through the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software.

Most importantly, the K68 RGB keyboard has the same IP32 dust and water resistant rating, which is done by having a silicon rubber shield above the circuit board. It may not survive through a total submersion in water, but can certainly deal with small liquid splashes without any problem.

The K68 RGB will cost $119.9 USD (MSRP), which is $20 USD more than the regular K68. For more information about the keyboard, you can check out its product page from Corsair.
