Patriot Memory announced its latest Viper VP4300 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD earlier this week, which is the second one from the company after the VP4100.

The Viper VP4300 is equipped with a InnoGrit IG5236 memory controller. It takes advantages on the PCIe 4.0×4 interface to get maximum sequential read/write speeds of 7400 MB/s and 6800 MB/s. IOPS numbers can reach up to 800K. For comparison, the older VP4100 can only achieve speeds at 4700 MB/s and 4200 MB/s. You can choose to have the drive in either 1 TB or 2 TB. It is expected to have 3D TLC NAND flash, which is rated for 1000 TBW to 2000 TBW.

Patriot provides both an asymmetric heatsink and a graphene pad to control the thermals of the VP4300. The 1 TB and 2 TB models are priced at $239.99 USD and $464.99 USD (MSRP) respectively, with a 5-year warranty.
